SumoExperience.com was founded in 2014 with a clear mission:
to share the true spirit of Japan’s traditional culture—sumo—with people around the world in an authentic and enjoyable way.
Sumo is more than just a sport.
It is a unique cultural tradition of Japan, built on centuries of history, respect, discipline, and ritual.
In recent years, many sumo-themed experiences have appeared.
However, some of them are offered without fully conveying the traditions, etiquette, and deeper meaning behind the sport.
At SumoExperience.com, our team consists of former professional sumo wrestlers.
Drawing on their firsthand experience and deep knowledge of the sumo world,
we strive to share not only the excitement of sumo but also the values, customs, and cultural background that define it.
Our goal is to act as a bridge between our guests and the world of professional sumo,
creating opportunities for people to experience this tradition with mutual respect and understanding.

Reservations, Changes & Cancellations
Once your reservation is confirmed, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you registered.
The email includes your reservation details and a QR code. Please check the contents carefully.
You can also review your reservation by selecting “My booking / Cancel” on the top page of the reservation site.

Due to system limitations, reservations for 6 or more guests cannot be made in a single booking.

After a reservation is confirmed, the following changes are possible:

Once the event is officially confirmed, the following cancellation policy applies:
- 20–11 days before the event: 30% of the total amount
- 10–2 days before the event: 50% of the total amount
- 1 day before or same day: 100% of the total amount
Reducing the number of guests is also subject to this policy.
If participation becomes impossible due to natural disasters or similar circumstances, and you can provide official documentation proving the situation, the cancellation fee may be waived.
For cancellations due to other reasons, the above policy will apply.
Yes, same-day reservations are possible.
However, bookings must be made at least 3 hours before the event start time.
